From January 4-6, 2024, Dr. Tran Duy Hien (Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology) participated as a presenter at the international conference: Thailand Econometric Society (TES2024), with the topic: “Why Micro-Funding? Why Small Businesses Are Important? Analysis Based on First Principles.”
During the conference, Dr. Tran Duy Hien had the opportunity to meet and discuss economic issues with French economist Jean Tirole. Jean Tirole, awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 2014, is renowned for his analysis of market power and regulation.
The 17th International Conference of the Thailand Econometric Society (TES 2024) was held at the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University. The conference’s objective is to provide a forum for researchers, scientists, engineers, scholars, and graduate students in the fields of economics, econometrics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analysis, business, and finance to share their latest research results. This is one of the leading international conferences for presenting new and fundamental advancements in econometric research. The conference aims to bring together researchers in econometrics and quantitative economic analysis to present and discuss theoretical and applied research issues while fostering research collaboration.
