On the afternoon of December 18, 2024, at Auditorium 003, Gillis Building, Tan Tao University, the workshop “Introduction to Web3 App Development” was co-organized by the Faculty of Information Technology and MetaCyber8 Company.
The workshop provided Tan Tao University’s Information Technology students with an in-depth and practical understanding of the development process for decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ancient8 Chain platform. During the session, students were guided step by step in configuring the development environment with Solidity and React, connecting MetaMask wallets, integrating smart contracts, and deploying applications to the mainnet.
In particular, the workshop emphasized the outstanding benefits of the Ancient8 ecosystem, which provides tools to optimize the development process and enhance user experience. Through both academic content and hands-on practice, the program also encouraged students to build creative and efficient dApps that align with the current trends in blockchain technology.
Additionally, the workshop introduced the Ancient8 Builder Jam—a Web3 Hackathon competition organized by Ancient8 in collaboration with Kyros Ventures, ZKP Labs, and Orochi Network. This is a unique opportunity for students to turn their technological ideas into practical blockchain projects, with a total prize pool of up to 400,000 USD. The competition not only offers financial rewards but also provides opportunities for students to receive funding and guidance from top industry experts. The hackathon includes four main categories: Gaming, Consumer Applications, Creative Platforms, and Game Infrastructure, allowing students to identify their strengths in various areas of blockchain technology.
The competition schedule began on November 20, 2024, with the opening of registration, followed by learning activities, submissions, evaluations, and concluding with the awards ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on January 18, 2025. With its engaging content and abundant opportunities for growth, the workshop has become an ideal starting point for students at the Faculty of Information Technology at Tan Tao University to explore and advance in the fields of blockchain technology and Web3.
